Killer Heels: The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe
Brooklyn Museum - Brooklyn, NY
If you think all high-heel shoes are the same, you are grossly misinformed, but not to worry. The Brooklyn Museum will set you straight with their Killer Heels exhibit, which explores the history of the high-heel and all of its variations, whether worn as a fashion statement or as a method of power. Starting on September 10, there will be over 160 heels on display from the Brooklyn Museum’s costume collection, Canada’s Bata Shoe Museum, and designers and design houses, including Manolo Blahnik, Chanel, Salvatore Ferragamo, Christian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen and Prada.
