8. Philadelphia

In terms of the shear volume of tall buildings, Philadelphia doesn’t hold a candle to the likes of New York City, but then again, which city does? Despite a “gentleman’s agreement” that prevented buildings from rising higher than City Hall for much of the last century, in more recent decades, numerous high-rises have popped up around downtown Philly, thus giving the city one of the most amazing skylines in the States.
