Trenton Doyle Hancock: Skin and Bones, 20 Years of Drawing
Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston - Houston, TX
While Trenton Doyle Hancock’s paintings have been widely discussed, his drawings have not been explored in depth until now. Skin and Bones, 20 Years of Drawing showcases the illustrations, collages and other works on paper of the artist, which are influenced by comics, graphic novels, cartoons, music and film. In addition to his graphite and collage works, the exhibit also features his early childhood drawings, notebooks, sketchpads and comic strip that ran in his college newspaper to help viewers gain perspective on the artist’s creative evolution.
