Andy Warhol: Shadows
Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles - Los Angeles, CA
What was once supposed to be installed on the walls of the legendary Studio 54 finally receives its moment to shine. The 102 pieces that make up Andy Warhol’s painting are meant to be viewed as one piece, which will now be exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. After a traumatic life experience that occurred in the late 1960s, Warhol photographed a shadow on the floor of his New York City studio, which symbolized the shadow of his former self and is the repeated image used throughout Shadows.
