8. Don Shula

Out of his record-breaking 347 wins, Don Shula’s 1972 “perfect season” with the Miami Dolphins is his shining moment, leading the team in a 14–0 regular season record and going on to win every post-season game leading into the big Super Bowl VII win. The next year, he led the Dolphins to another Super Bowl success, which hadn’t been done since Vince Lombardi’s back-to-back wins with the Green Bay Packers in the first two Super Bowls. With another four Super Bowl appearances, Shula became the coach with the most trips to the Super Bowl, a record he still holds today.
