1. Taste of Chicago - July 9-13
The Taste of Chicago, also known to locals simply as “The Taste,” is the world’s largest food festival. Averaging almost 3 million visitors, The Taste showcases local specialties like deep-dish pizza, Chicago hot dogs, Italian Beef, and barbecue as well as tons of different kinds of ethnic cuisine. In additional to food, this festival in downtown Chicago’s Grant Park has plenty of live music, too, featuring local and international musicians. And it wouldn’t be a festival without a giant Ferris wheel either. Just don’t let anyone try to hold your cotton candy for you.
