The Jamaican Bobsled Team – Cool Runnings
Loosely based on the true story of the Jamaican national bobsled team, Cool Runnings told the story of four Jamaican men trying to make it to the 1988 Winter Olympics. Three of the men originally were trying to qualify for the 100-meter dash, but a trip on the track ruined it for all of them. Desperate to go to the Olympics, they decided to compete as the first ever Jamaican Bobsled team with John Candy as their coach. The four do everything on the way to raise money for their team from a kissing booth to arm wrestling. These guys made you want to root against your own country in the hope that Jamaica could clinch the gold. They were hysterical and dedicated to their dreams of becoming Olympians. They even made stuffing four men into a bathtub to train look like fun.
