ColecoVision (1982)

The ColecoVision gained notoriety for its arcade-perfect ports, powerful hardware, and strong accessories lineup consisting of racing wheels and trackballs that brought the arcade experience to living rooms. Then it fell victim to the Great Video Game Crash of ’83, seizing production immediately and dying off, along with most of the game publishers in the business. Nintendo would be responsible for resurrecting the industry, although it was too late for Coleco to make a triumphant return to the biz.
