Silly Putty

Just like Play-Doh, Silly Putty owes its unique place in toy history to its genetic makeup. Comprised of silicone polymers that display unusual physical properties, Silly Putty has the ability to bounce, but breaks when met with a sharp blow. Taking things a step further, the shapeable toy can also flow like a liquid. Although it was originally created by accident during research into potential rubber substitutes for use by the United States in World War II, Silly Putty has gone on to rightfully reserve its spot in countless children's childhoods.
