View-Master was Google Images before there was Google Images. Using thin cardboard disks containing seven stereoscopic 3D pairs of small color photographs on film, kids and adults alike could click through pictures of anything from zoo animals to planets. The View-Master's timing couldn't have been better as it was introduced in 1939, four years after Kodachrome color film made small, high-quality photographic color images practical. Although most current View-Master reels are intended for children, the toy's design, along with the reel options available, make it a winner for users of all ages.
