4. Queen Latifah

Queen Latifah isn’t a stranger to getting bit by the acting bug. From her dramatic role in 1996’s Set It Off to being one of the main cast members of the ’90s sitcom Living Single, the femcee-turned-actress is pretty good at juggling both music and film. Jumping into the hosting position at SNL proved to be an easy task for her, and ended a lengthy period when there weren’t any African American female hosts on the show. Her impersonation of political analyst Gwen Ifill had us rolling, and we really hope to see her make more appearances on future episodes.
