7. David Zinn
Walk around Ann Arbor, Michigan, and you may come across the work of David Zinn. His pieces may make you feel like you’ve stepped into the world of Roger Rabbit, where the cartoon and real world meet. The street artist uses chalk to draw an adorable, small green creature named Sluggo, as well as other characters. Sluggo started popping up on the streets of the city in 2008, fully interacting in the environment in which he was drawn in, raking fallen leaves off the sidewalk, picking a bouquet of flowers, or engaging in other activities. The 3D quality of Zinn’s drawings makes it look like Sluggo and the other characters he draws are out and about on the streets of Ann Arbor with the rest of the community.
