Alicia Silverstone in Aerosmith’s “Cryin’”

Aerosmith’s “Cryin’” was the first of the band’s three videos featuring Alicia Silverstone, who had been chosen after her performance in the thriller film The Crush and eventually became known as the “Aerosmith chick.” In the video, Silverstone plays an adventurous teen, who after breaking up with her boyfriend and kicking him out of her car, gets a cover-up tattoo, a navel piercing — which was definitely one of the first times anyone mainstream had even heard of such a thing — and ends up bungee jumping off a bridge at the end. The video was one of the most requested videos of 1993, and won three MTV Video Music Awards in 1994, including Viewer’s Choice.
