Fresh Color Combos in This adidas skateboarding x The Hundreds Crush Pack
According to a press release, the collection references adidas’ soccer roots, and the pack is named after the top team in Bobby Hundred’s youth soccer league, the Crush.
The new pack includes a Hundreds Adi-Ease shoe, custom Jags-print jacquard knit jersey, a long-sleeve Climalite tee, and jacquard Climalite socks.
“We wanted to make a shoe that had emotional resonance and substance,” Hundreds co-founder Bobby Hundreds said of the new shoe, “Something that made sense with the brand’s folklore and aesthetic, but also is wearable and smart.” The shoe looks like a soccer shoe but was actually designed to be the perfect skate shoe.
"The Adi-Ease shoe design and construction is built for skateboarding," the press release states. "Inspired by vintage soccer shoes, The Hundreds incorporated a stitched pattern on the toe, customized heel overlay, and an extended tongue designed after adidas’ iconic Samba."
To celebrate the release of the Crush pack, adidas skateboarding and The Hundreds collaborated to produce the RSWD Invitational, a soccer tournament made up of six teams spanning skateboarding and streetwear cultures. The teams were captained by Bobby and Ben Hundreds, adidas skater Lucas Puig, TransWorld editor Skin Phillips, photographer Van Styles, and Alexander Spit. You can check out the heavy hitters going head to head for the title on the next episode of Ghetto Bird on Youtube.
The adidas skateboarding x The Hundreds Crush Pack will be available at The Hundreds’ retail and online stores February 5th, and worldwide February 10th.
