Back To Black - Amy Winehouse
For some, Back To Black was the first time being introduced to the pain stricken vocals of Amy Winehouse. While the departed diva began a journey through jazz on her 2003 debut Frank, the follow-up album is what really showcases her as one of the greatest examples of a powerhouse vocalist. Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi were the primary producers on this project, so they could give the greatest insight into what she was trying to get across as a musician. This was the last project we received from the songbird, but we think there’s more to the story than the Grammy success and doo wop appeal.
