Andy Warhol Annex Coming to New York City

As part of the planned Essex Crossing development in New York City’s Lower East Side, the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh—which is the artist’s hometown—is collaborating with developers to create a new 10,000-square foot gallery space that will feature Warhol’s work. In addition to the Andy Warhol Annex, the Essex Crossing development will also include office buildings, retail space, a school, a rooftop urban garden, a community center, and an expansion to the iconic Essex Market. This new arts institution in New York is expected to open sometime in 2017.
