Anthony Pappalardo is a Brooklyn, NY based writer, designer, and author. His two books, Live...Suburbia!, and Radio Silence: A Visual History of American Hardcore, are a mix of essays, oral history, and archives of American subcultures. He got his start writing for Slap Magazine in the mid-'90s where he continued to write into the 2000s. Pappalardo also played in several hardcore bands including In My Eyes, whose self-titled album was released on Revelation Records and featured artwork by illustration legend Pushead. Most recently he released an album under the name Italian Horn on DAIS Records with artwork by Robert Pollard of Guided by voices. His work has appeared in VICE, ESPN, Alternative Press, Complex, Jenkem, Bedford+Bowery, Huck, Kingpin, Color, Magnet, and several other print and online publications.
