Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk - Santa Cruz, CA
Santa Cruz’s Main Beach boardwalk has been around since 1907 when it was designed to be the Coney Island of the West Coast. Since it’s home to the only oceanfront amusement park left on the West Coast, you can take historic rides on the Looff Carousel and the Giant Dipper roller coaster, which both have received landmark status. After you’re done with the rides, you can watch free movies on the beach on Wednesday nights and free concerts on Friday nights throughout the summer. Hit up the Surf City Grill for their famous corn dogs and then Marini’s Candies for saltwater taffy, chocolate dipped nut clusters, English toffee, and chocolate covered bacon to satisfy your sweet tooth.
