2. Sonic & Eggman (Sonic Adventure 2)
The developers of Sonic Adventure 2 decided to make the most out of the 10-year anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog’s very first game by inviting everyone — even the blue speedster’s iconic villain — to the party. The game marks one of the few times that Dr. Eggman (a.k.a. Robotnik) was made a playable character as opposed to a boss, allowing players to experience both sides of the traditional story: playing as Eggman in a massive mechanized walker hatching his evil scheme, and Sonic working to stop it. In the end, both realize they have been misled, uniting forces against a common enemy. Players got to have the best of both worlds, and finally grasp just how hard it is to be a super villain.
