GoldenEye 007 – DK Mode
“GoldenEye” on the Nintendo 64 can be credited for the rise of the competitive multiplayer on a home console, but it was no slouch where cheat codes were concerned either. Although the game may have been based on the James Bond film of the same name, the developers at Rare decided to inject some video game wackiness into the cinematic story. Specifically, their DK Mode, named for the star of another of the studio’s properties, Donkey Kong Country. Giving every character an enormous head and ridiculously long arms, the cheat soon became commonplace, granting an even better look at those massive polygons.
