Blend: Hip-Hop and Pop
Pop artists have been working towards earning street cred for a minute now. From Madonna’s friendship with Tupac in the ‘90s to Britney Spears getting her “boom boom” on with Ying Yang Twins for In The Zone, hip-hop and pop have been embarking on an unlikely union that’s proved to be pretty lucrative. Artists like Nicki Minaj, Justin Beiber and wild child Miley Cyrus are the most recent bunch to add an urban spin — in both their image and sound — to the otherwise bubbly world of pop.
