10. KAWS @ PAFA
The KAWS @ PAFA exhibit at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts was a significant accomplishment on a number of levels. Firstly, it was KAWS’s first large-scale solo exhibit in a fine arts museum, and secondly, it was the first time that PAFA had ever been taken over for an intervention exhibit with artwork by KAWS intermingling on both the interior and exterior of the building with the museum's 19th century art collection. KAWS @ PAFA featured over 70 works of art, and recently closed in January 2014. Now we all just need to wait and see what the next big thing is that KAWS has in store for us.
