The Spot: Coat of Arms
Coat of Arms's claim to fame is that they single-handedly brought back the snapback cap as a must-have accessory.
They opened up shop in 2006 on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, offering up deadstock vintage apparel and accessories inspired by New York street fashion during hip-hop's golden era.
Its rapid popularity led to the revival of old and forgotten brands like MCM, Starter and African American College Alliance.
Today, Coat of Arms is located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, where customers can find new and vintage throwback style menswear, accessories, and footwear. They also regularly showcase art installations, with the store currently featuring work by Piet Parra and Tired Skateboards.
Check it out for yourself at 674 Manhattan Ave Brooklyn, New York.
