8. Atari Jaguar 1993

As proof that substance isn’t always as important as style, the Atari Jaguar sought to reclaim the company’s place against gaming’s biggest consoles. Marketed as more than twice as powerful as the SNES or Genesis, the Jaguar was like next-gen come early. But lacking the brand power of the bigger consoles and featuring one of the ugliest game controllers ever released, Atari was forced to close up shop for good.
