To celebrate Mtn Dew's arrival in Los Angeles for Dew NBA 3X, an elite 3x3 basketball tournament, Green Label is taking part in #CourtsideCollection, a celebration of the art, creativity, and culture of basketball.
To send it off the last stop of the tournament style, Green Label threw the Fairfax Block Party, featuring free food, live art, games, and tons of streetwear giveaways from brands like DOPE, Crooks & Castles, and Pink Dolphin. And since Fairfax is a haven for street culture, we showed our love for the best emerging streetwear labels in The Green List: The 100 Best Underground Brands in America.
Los Angeles-based Michael Farhat, more publicly known as the face and founder of creative coalition Art Mobb, created custom basketball backboards to celebrate the arrival of Mtn Dew for Dew NBA 3x, which were displayed at Green Label’s Fairfax Block Party on Oct. 15.
Farhat is best known for his Plexiglass paintings and illustrations depicting pop culture icons and pro athletes, earning his title as “The Athlete’s Artist”. He’s also contributed illustrations to a children’s poetry book written by Nick Cannon.
Art Mobb’s philosophy is aimed at serving the community through philanthropy, donating a percentage of proceeds from the sales of its work to benefit the charity of its partners.
