Crayon Sculptures by Herb Williams
Herb Williams proves that Crayola crayons aren’t just for kids or just for use on coloring books. The Nashville-based artist groups together hundreds or sometimes thousands of crayons to create vibrantly colored sculptures. Crayola crayons are his medium of choice because of their color, smell, and their nostalgic quality to bring back fond childhood memories. Using full crayons, chopped pieces, or melting down the colorful wax, Williams has created a number of new nature-inspired sculptures for one of his recent exhibits, Call of the Wild.
