Leandro Erlich - “Dalston House”
Last year, Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich created an interactive installation called “Dalston House,” which actually wasn’t a house at all. The flat exterior of the house was constructed on the ground while a 45-degree mirror was positioned above it, creating the illusion of people climbing around the facade when they laid down on top of it. He made “Dalston House” look like the other Victorian houses on Ashwin Street in London where the installation was located. Erlich wanted visitors to find fiction in the ordinary instead of taking what is familiar for granted.
