Work For Diplo On K•Swiss’s New Campaign, ‘The Board’
The best part about being young in 2015 is that you don’t need a real job. Tons of young people make a living as a photographer or a blogger, and never have to do the corporate 9-5 grind. Bigger companies are starting to take notice of our generation’s hustle, like K•Swiss, with their new campaign, “The Board,” a 100-person committee made up of creative and connected individuals who will work to bring the K•Swiss brand back to prominence.
And it could be you.
Partnering with DJ, producer, and twerk legend Diplo, The Board is meant to give young entrepreneurs a chance to flex their skills while making real decisions on real projects that K•Swiss will follow.
“We believe that consumer aspirations have shifted… Young people want their own brands, their own voice and their own businesses,” said Barney Waters, chief marketing officer of K•Swiss Global Brands. “We have created a program with substance, where our customers get involved in the process of rebuilding K•Swiss and make real contributions.” The program will focus on real decisions that K•Swiss has to make, such as branding, shoe design, and social media presence.
Considering Diplo’s entrepreneurship skills (he has his own record label that hosts one of the summer’s biggest EDM shows) and his killer style, he was the perfect fit to spearhead The Board. “I was instantly drawn to the K•Swiss brand due to their heritage and longevity in the marketplace,” said Diplo. “I am excited to be part of The Board, to bring young entrepreneurial minds into the process to help build the next chapter at such a respected brand.”
You can apply to be a member of The Board online from now until April 30.
