DJ QBert Just Made Every Album Cover Ever Look Out of Date
DJ Qbert partnered with U.K. technology startup Novalia to launch his new album Extraterrestria in an unheard-of way: together they’ve created the world’s first interactive DJ decks in an album cover, using conductive ink.
Conductive ink creates smart surfaces that become interactive with the touch of a finger. The album cover features a set of working Bluetooth MIDI decks, a crossfader, SFX buttons, and controls that connect to iOS and OSx. When it’s connected to the Algoriddim DJAY app, users can scratch, mix and fade any song they load into the software.
