Element Skateboards Drops New Jeremy Fish “Spirit Animal” Collaboration
For the latest in its Advocate series, Element Skateboards has employed the creative mind of San Francisco-based artist Jeremy Fish.
Inspired by the dual themes of authenticity and evolution, the collection consists of a new batch of pro boards for a handful of Element riders including Chad Tim Tim, Levi Brown, Evan Smith, Julian Davidson, Mark Appleyard, and Nick Garcia. and is also accompanied by a new range apparel.
Earlier this year, Fish debuted the artwork that inspired the new collection at an art show at No-Comply skate shop, located down in Austin, Texas.
For the boards, Jeremy pulled inspiration from each of the team members. In his trademark whimsical cartoon style, he depicts each skater as their "spirit animal" unzipped to reveal elements from each of their lives, things like a love of music, nature, family, or chilling in a hammock, in Mark Appleyard’s case.
To go along with the boards, Element has also produced a run of apparel that includes a series of “Fish” tees, a pair of chinos, and a five-panel adjustable cap.
As an added bonus, Element has rolled out a series of Instagram videos featuring each of the Element pros and their corresponding graphics. These smaller videos were also pieced together to create a longer edit highlighting the entire collection.
