End of an Era: 10 Reasons Why We Won't Forget The Roseland Ballroom

A silent tear has fallen for the Roseland Ballroom as it is set to close its doors early this April with a series of shows from Lady Gaga. This historic venue was built in 1922, and held the stage to some of the greatest names in music history from Frank Sinatra, Madonna, Nirvana and many more. We are sad to see just a huge piece of music history get torn down and turned into a 59-story apartment building. Although April 7th might mark the day the music died, the moments that have taken place on Roseland’s stage will live on forever. Here are just a few of the most memorable moments of the Roseland Ballroom.
