Graffiti artists put up pieces that try to cover up a poor skatepark design
Despite all the great skate spots in Paris, the situation further south in France is a bit more of a struggle. The Skatepark des Chartrons in Bordeaux is a decent size and is close to Riot Skateshop, but aside from that it’s basically your standard issue “action sports park.” Recently a few graffiti artists were tapped to give it a makeover, and they came through with some amazing work. Armed with Montana 54 paint cans, ZARB, SION, RES, SMO, SCANER, LEK, and DEM transformed the park completely. And while the graffiti may not make the park any better to skate, the work certainly makes it nicer to look at.
