8. Led Zeppelin Records The Song Remains The Same Live at MSG - 1973
Even amongst the controversy that struck the making of this rock doc — like going way over budget, hiring unsatisfactory cameramen, and having $180,000 stolen from them right before the final show in their three-night stint — Led Zeppelin still turned The Song Remains The Same into a fan favorite viewing experience. The actual film didn’t premiere until 1976, three years after the initial performances, but it ultimately grossed in an estimated $10 million at the box office by the following year. Also, the live performance of “Stairway To Heaven” is enough to make this a legit presentation.
