3. Tupac, Biggie, Big Daddy Kane, and More Freestyle Live On Stage - 1994
Given the unfortunate nature of how Tupac and Biggie’s friendship ended, we’ll always value this performance for reminding us of an era of good vibes in hip-hop. The actual cypher boasted a hefty lineup of dope emcees, but B.I.G.’s now iconic “Where Brooklyn at?” verse and Pac’s energetic flow both stand out, even to this day as blueprints to the art of freestyling. Truthfully, there’s no point in comparing them either. Both of them shut the Garden down that night. It’s better to just enjoy and take notes from a moment in rap history that will never be duplicated.
