Houston Cinema Arts Festival 2014: Nov. 12-16
The Houston Cinema Arts Festival is hitting H-Town this week, which will showcase the artistic projects of highly acclaimed directors and amateur filmmakers alike. Kicking things off will be a free screening of Everybody Street, a documentary illuminating the lives of New York City street photographers, followed by the premiere of award-winning director Julie Taymor’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. After the five-day festival will be Spotlight on Texas, an extended series of film screenings that will celebrate local directors and producers. Included will be a Texas Filmmakers Showcase, which will present a professionally-selected compilation of the best Texas short films and videos.
The events will take place at various galleries and cinemas around the city – more details can be found on the festival’s website.
