2. The Cramps - Bad Music for Bad People
Loosely based on The Cramps’ frontman Lux Interior, Stephen Blickenstaff’s zombie illustration used on the cover of Bad Music for Bad People is a visual that drew many people to the band. Inspired by horror comics and Mad Magazine, Blicknstaff’s drawing popped off the bright yellow background of the compilation album, and later beamed off T-shirts of the same color. Though she opted for a black version, Lorde appeared on her first Rolling Stone cover in the shirt.
