My friend was able to get me a photo pass to Mad Decent in Eugene. At the beginning of every set, I would run into the pit and stand on these platforms, and everybody would stick their hands up to my camera. There’s this term photographers have called “stolen moment,” which is the like the moment in between the taken photos. This mentor I had told me go after these stolen moments. This is almost a photo that you can hear. You see the diversity of hands… there’s a cast in there. Even though that dude is hurting, he’s still with everybody. All of these different people in one place makes for one of those stolen moments. It’s a random little split second of stuff that showcases the whole vibe. The whole night can be condensed into this one photo.
