2003 I BOUGHT MY FIRST PAIR OF CROCS AND I KNEW THEY WOULD TAKE ME PLACES!!!!
Who did you apprentice under?
I NEVER RLLY APPRENTICED UNDER ONE SPECIFIC PERSON SEEING AS I HAD SOME AUTHORITY ISSUES WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. I REALISE NOW I DEFINITELY MISSED OUT ON SOME OPPORTUNITIES THERE, BUT I FOUND MY OWN WAY BY WORKING W/ SOME INCREDIBLE CHEFS LATER ON AND ALSO BY READIN A LOT OF BOOKS!!!!!
What are some of the specific tasting notes in Black Label that stood out to you?
THE NOTES OF BLACK CURRANT AND SWEET DARK BERRIES ARE PROMINENT, BUT BALANCED OUT BY THE OVERALL STRUCTURE OF THE BEVERAGE. THE BITTERS ADD A MASCULINE, FRESH LEATHER NOTE ON THE NOSE, AND THE OVERALL TIGHTNESS OF THE EFFERVESCENCE KEEPS IT MYSTERIOUS, BUT REFRESHING. LIKE A STORMCLOUD OF SOIGNÉ.
How did you go about pairing the right foods with Mountain Dew Black Label?
AS A KID IN ENGLAND, WE OFTEN HAD CASSIS SYRUP W/ SELTZER OR OVER ICE CREAM. THE FLAVOR OF MDBL DEFINITELY TOOK ME BACK AND I WANTED TO CAPTURE THAT NOSTALGIA BY PAIRING THE DRINK W/ MY FAVE FOODS FROM CHILDHOOD. I RLLY TRIED TO COAX OUT THE BERRIES AND ENABLE THEM TO DANCE ON THE PALATE W/ BIG SALTY FLAVORS LIKE CHEETOS AND PEPPERONI.
What was your favorite dish that you created for the collaboration, or any ingredient you enjoyed using the most?
CHEETOS RISOTTO WAS AN OBVIOUS WINNER. THAT’S GOING TO STAY ON THE MENU INDEFINITELY.

START A CLUB AND COLLABORATE W/ OTHER PPL WHO ARE ALSO BROKE. YOU WILL BE MORE THAN THE SUM OF YOUR PARTS IF YOU WORK TOGETHER. ALSO, GET A RICE COOKER.

IM WORKING ON AN UPPER NEXT LEVEL SLIGHTLY GENTRIFIED BURGER JOINT SLASH GASTROPUB CALLED JACQUES IN THE BOX!!!!!
