KITH and Columbia Sportswear Bring Back “The Bugaboo”
Earlier this season, KITH shared its first collaboration with Columbia Sportswear, The Exeter Down Parka. Transforming one of KITH's staple outerwear staples, Columbia beefed up the jacket and turned it into a winter-ready down filled parka that utilized its trademark 3-in-1 Interchange System.
For their second collaborative project, KITH transforms one of Columbia's storied silhouettes. The Bugaboo jacket was popular during the late `80s and `90s because of its versatility and convertibility. Then, in 1986, Columbia brought its patented Interchange System to skiwear. The jacket was an immediate hit, becoming a staple piece on the streets of NYC.
The Bugaboo is comprised of an interior fleece jacket that zippers into a waterproof shell, providing a jacket that's also a triple-threat fit for an array of weather conditions. The Bugaboo collection is completed by the Bugaboo hat and gloves, each adhering to the same aesthetic as the jacket. The range of jackets and hats are offered in the original 1986 blue and pink colorway, salmon and slate, and KITH's trademark black and 3M palate.
