KITH and Italian Boutique Slam Jam Bring Back the Diadora V7000

New York's Ronnie Fieg is back with another quality footwear collaboration, this time with Italy's Slam Jam.

The Italian boutique has partnered with the KITH-designer on a two versions of the Diadora V700, a sneaker that has been on ice for 25 years.

For Slam Jam's portion of the partnership, they chose a US NAVY inspired redesign of the V7000 that they've renamed the "Yvan." The shoe features mesh paneling, along with an upper that also features hits of pigskin suede and full grain leather. For that added luxe feel the sock liner and footbed, done up in a dazzle-camo motif, is made of cow leather. The shoe is finished off with a translucent aquatic blue outsole.

The second shoe in the pack bears the name of Ronnie, the RF7000 "Primo," and features design elements that those familiar with KITH will recognize. Adding an original touch to the vintage Diadora model, Ronnie adds asymmetrical leather paneling to the toe of the shoe. As an homage to the heritage of Slam Jam and Diadora, the colorway of the RF7000 "Primo" is inspired by the green, white, and red of the Italian flag, resulting in an olive, burgundy, and off white. The RF7000 is finished off with a street-ready gum outsole.

Each shoe will release October 23 at KITH and Slam Jam's retail locations, as well as their respective online shops. For a glimpse at how these sneakers were made check out the video below.
