Rómulo Celdrán - “Macro III”
Spanish artist Rómulo Celdrán has a knack for creating larger-than-life everyday objects that appear like they are the real thing. For his Macro series, he made enlarged replicas of ordinary items, and his “Macro III” sculpture is incredibly realistic. Celdrán constructed a giant blue pen cap that looked like it had been chewed up on the top and side by a nervous student about to take a quiz or an office worker right before a big client presentation. He used polychromed polystyrene to make the 48-inch long pen cap back in 2009.
