Mighty Healthy and Gino Iannucci Release Capsule to Celebrate 10 Year Anniversary
Mighty Healthy, the street brand known for their old school threads (we're talking 1980s Long Island old school), has released a new collection with Gino Iannucci. The collection includes a set of graphic tees, a checkered raglan and bucket hat, and a five panel snapback. The entire capsule offers up a nice call back to the good old days of street skating.
"Despite notoriously being the quiet type," MH's website explains, "Long Island native Gino Iannucci loudly proclaimed his arrival to the skateboarding world with a choice backside heel down the infamous Gonz Gap at San Francisco’s landmark Embarcadero Plaza."
"With the entire industry forced to take immediate notice, Gino would quickly cement his legendary status in just a few short years with a grip of mind-blowing schoolyard and downtown lines in numerous classic video parts," they continue.
MH says the collaboration was a long time in the making, the culmination of a relationship, they explain, that started brewing in 1989. The pieces were inspired by Iannuci's "unique and fluid style" and the capsule is designed to be one of the hallmark collections for the brand's 10-year anniversary.
