NailO Turns Your Thumb into a Trackpad

A handful of genius researchers at MIT Media Lab are currently developing NailO, a wireless trackpad which you mount on your thumbnail.

The pad, which is about the size of a nail sticker, sends data directly to your laptop or phone. When you attach it to your thumb, you’re able to scroll and click through your device, completely hands-free.

It’s ideal for when your hands are full, cooking, cleaning, painting, etc., so you can avoid dirtying up your screen when you go to answer a text or call.  It’s also great for discreetly scrolling through Twitter in a meeting or responding to a message in class.

NailO is currently in the prototype phase.
