Help Light Up the Ojai Skatepark

The community skatepark in Ojai, California has one major problem: no lights. Though its citizens self-raised $360,000 to build their own park in 2010, the lack of lighting within the park still means skaters are prohibited after daylight hours.

Ojai’s community members are assembling to install lights so they can enjoy the park after the sun sets, which will give them more skate time during the winters and an outdoor activity for the comfortable temperatures of summer nights.

They’ve started a Gofundme campaign with a goal of raising $40,000 in 30 days to build the necessary structures and fill costs. Watch the campaign video above and make a donation here.
