Shopping Bag Tree Art by Yuken Teruya
Tis the season to be shopping and by now, you've probably collected a bunch of shopping bags from all of the gifts you've bought family and friends. Japanese artist Yuken Teruya found a use for luxury shopping bags by cutting delicate paper trees from them that you can see when looking into the top of the bags. Teruya transfers photographs of trees onto his computer and then superimposes the image onto the logo branded side of a shopping bag. He then cuts a two-part silhouette with the leafy top and lower branches and trunk, folding and twisting the two parts into the bag's interior. He then secures the trunk with a small drop of glue. Now that you know how it's done, you can get to work on all those shopping bags.
