In 1992, skateboarding became enmeshed with rave culture, and low-top Pumas—which also nodded to early hip-hop, another big influence on skating at the time—were everyone’s shoe of choice. If you didn’t own at least one pair, you probably didn’t skate. And if you had them in dope, hard-to-find colorways, well, you were the man.
