1. Embarcadero – San Francisco, California
Embarcadero is the birthplace of a lot of what’s happening in skateboarding today. In the early ‘90s, it became the center of the skate universe, known as home to guys like Mike Carroll, Jovontae Turner and Henry Sanchez. Thousands of skaters promptly descended on it, not only turning it into a bust but prompting the city to remodel it and do away with the ledges that drew them in the first place. But the little three stairs and fountain gap are still there, so as one San Francisco skateshop manager told us, there’s still some OG left.
