6. J. Kwon – Los Angeles, California
The spot Josh Kalis calls California’s Love Park has been ridden for decades. You may recognize its perimeter from Scott Johnston’s classic frontside 180 to switch crooked grind sequence or Guy Mariano’s switch backside tailslide shove-it in Mouse. Guy even boardslid its handrail in Video Days. These days, the ledges in the center of the plaza attract everyone from Alex Olson to Rodrigo Tx, both of whom had footage from the spot in recent parts. How long it can sustain so much skate traffic is anyone’s guess.
