Pier 7 sprang up after Embarcadero became a bust. The ledges, which were also the most famous manual pads in the world, saw action from skaters like Lavar McBride, Rob Welsh, and Henry Sanchez, whose lines almost 20 years ago remain impressive today. The ledges are now covered in a layer of wood, but if you’re up for it, you can still pay homage to Marcus McBride and try tricks over them.
