3. Werc and Geraldine Lozano - Gowanus
Artists Werc and Geraldine Lozano teamed up this summer to create a stunning mural in the neighborhood of Gowanus. Entitled “Shamanic Visions,” the piece takes the idea of an urban jungle literally, merging owls and other birds, a cheetah and a human face in a palette of blue, green and pink on a building’s façade. The mural was organized by New York Street Gallery, which is a collective of artists who create public outdoor galleries by painting urban walls. “Shamanic Visions” features amazing use of color and symmetry, making it a welcome addition to the side of the live music venue SRB Brooklyn at 177 2nd Avenue on the corner of 14th Street.
